Title: The Flier of GY

The illustration is based on the concept built from the article that the Gy is a kind of human-like creature but with thick feathers. Although they have amount of feathers, there are only some individuals could grow wings to fly. The process of growing wings is suffering and painful. Most importantly, a lot of them have no idea the meaning of flying so they are struggling for whether it is worth to fly. According to this, this book cover illustration compositionally focused mainly on the term “ painful”, “struggling” and “ flying”. The protagonist was painted in a crouched position in order to show the painfulness brought fromthe growth of wings. Besides, the location he stayed would be on a steep cliff around with clouds but he was not ready to take off yet, which showed he was struggling for the decision of flying.The choice of hue would be cold system including blue, purple and indigo to represent not only the frigid weather but also the loneliness of GY’s heart.
